Taco Bell!
Today was another awesome day! We had the chance to tour Taco Bell’s headquarters. We met with Matthew Prince. He is the PR & Newsroom Manager at Taco Bell. We were able to listen to a few of the employees and get their advice.
My favorite advice:
- Be there for people.
- Send congrats and keep up to date with family and their life.
- It doesn’t matter if you end up in a PR job, you can use PR in anything.
- Go somewhere where you like the culture.
- Be the best version of yourself.
- Treat every day like a first date.
- Be passionate so you want to go to work.
Erika Johnson (Social Media Community Manager) and Chris Crawford (Senior Social Media Coordinator) were there working. I asked them how they got Shonduras (famous social media star) to help them out with their Snapchat. He mentioned that they became friends first and that’s how the work relationship started. We had Taco Bell for lunch while we were there.
We had a break before the mixer so we went and hung out at the local mall. The mixer was at a bowling alley. Out of six players on a team, I scored the second to last. Haha. It’s all good though because the night ended with a big group of us singing karaoke. Next thing you know, I was being roped into singing Super Bass by Nicki Minaj, and yes, like the whole room was taking videos.
We went to Downtown Disney and ate dinner at Tortilla Joe’s. Stephen paid for our dinner, which was really nice of him. Brittany, Emmy and I laughed at random jokes the whole ride home.
I loved today. Every day has been so unique and I’ve learned a lot. We have the conference tomorrow and I will report about the different people we hear from and what I learn.
