Universal Studios Hollywood
We left the hotel around 8:30 to head toward Universal Studios Hollywood. Traffic wasn’t too bad and we were at the park before it opened. We started the day in the lower lot and went on: Transformers 3D, Revenge of the Mummy and Jurassic Park (my personal fave).
We ate lunch at Moe’s in Springfield. We also went on the Studio Tour. This is also another one of my favorites. It’s so cool to see the back lots where they actually film movies and television. We made our way over to Despicable Me, the Animal Actors show, Water World and Shrek 4D. Got pictures with characters from The Simpson’s as well.
Oh… did I forget to mention THE WIZARDING WORLD OF HARRY POTTER. It doesn’t officially open until April 7th, however, they are doing rehearsals and allow the public to enter. We had butter beer, went into Ollivander’s wand shop, watched the Hogwarts choir perform, went on Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey and Flight of the Hippogriff. They even had Moaning Myrtle in the bathrooms! You could say it was heaven.
We then ventured to Hollywood’s Walk of Fame. Bought a shirt and a hoodie for $10 total. Saw Jimmy Kimmel’s studio and various celebrities stars. AND… we saw JANE LYNCH. I mean, THE Coach Sue Sylvester from Glee in the flesh! She seemed in a hurry so we didn’t bother her, but I’m glad I got my celebrity fix in.
Tomorrow is the first day of the conference. We’ll head out to tour Taco Bell and have a mixer with the other students later that night. Until then… keep on wizarding on!
